    KADET - Probably operational

    JESSELTON - (5°55'N 116°05'E) operational - 2 runways, longest 5,300 ft.

    RANAU - ( 6°00'N 116°41'E) Probably operational.

    KENINGAU -  (5°29'K 116°10'E) Operational.

    LABAUN -  (5°20'N 115°l2'E) 1 Operational and 1 probably operational. Longest runway 4,300 ft - 26 Oct 44, 13 2EBs, 7 fighters.

    LAHAD DATU - (5°02'N 118°20'E) Operational. Runway 7,500 ft by 240 ft,' NW - SE. On 23 Oct 44 1 D/B observed parked on runway.

    TAWAO - (4°15'N 117°57'E) Operational. Runway 560C ft with only 400 ft serviceable. Defences 3 Lt .-.A,

DUTCH BORNEO

    TARAKAN - (3°20'N 117°34'E) Length of runway 4900 ft by 105 ft NE - SW. / Facilities for 17 airplanes, with more under  construction. /Dispersal, A-3 mast radio station and a probable RDF. unit are adjacent to the field. Limited servicing facilities are present. Defences are limited to one empty AA posn end there are no operating planes visible - 23 Oct 44.

    MANGGAR - (1°13'S 116°58'B) Operrational - 2 runways, one 3940 ft by 340 ft and one 3000ft by 110 ft. 16 Oct 44 - serviceable. 46 Fighters, 8 Bombers. Total AA defences, 15 med AA.

    SAMARINDA - (o°12'S 115°46'E) Operational - 2 runweys, longest 4470 ft - 16 Oct 44 - serviceable

    SIMANGGANG - Probably operational.

    CAPE SIPANG - Probably operational.

    SANGGAN - (0°55'S 109°33'E) Probably operational.

    SINGKAWANG II - (1°05'N 109°42'E) Probably operational.

    (LEDO)

    SEPINGGAN - (1°16'S 116°54'E) Operational 3200 ft fighter strip - Oct 16. A minimum of 7 Fighters - Possible RDF Positions. 7 Lt AA positions end a Hy battery under construction.

    OCLIN - (3°27'S 114°45'E) Operational - 2 runways, longest 3930 ft.

    SARAWAK KUCHING - (1°28'N 110°19'E) Operational, 2 runways, longest 3800 ft.

    BRUNEI I - Probably operational.
